we're finally in 2020 and while I don't do new year's resolutions one of my hopes for this coming year is to spend more time reading (instead of just scrolling on my phone, which is something I spend an embarrassing amount of time doing currently). That's also why I'm going to up the number of books I'm actually daring to put in my TBR each month - because with me spending less time on my phone I'm hoping to read more. This TBR list might look too ambitious and it probably is
Anyways, I hope you all had a good New Year's eve and that your 2020 will be perfect. Now, onto my actual list of books I want to read in January.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Pulp by Robin Talley (*currently reading)
A book about lesbians and lesbian culture - yes please! It was on my TBR last month too but I never got around to reading it then so here we are!
Challenges I'm reading this for: my LGBT challenge (book 1/20) and more specifically my challenge of reading f/f books (book 1/20). Also it's YA historical fiction which is another win!
2. The Music of What Happens by Bill Konigsberg
All I know it that this is YA contemporary, set around a food truck I believe? I do like this author though which is the reason why I picked this up at the library.
Challenges I'm reading this for: my LGBT challenge (book 2/20).
3. Like a Love Story by Abdi Nazemian
The 80's, New York, ACT Up. That's all I need to know to say "heck yes!" to reading this book!
Challenges I'm reading this for: my LGBT challenge (book 3/20). Historical fiction LGBT lit at that.
4. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
A classic to end all classics; I'm reading this because the movie premiers here in January and I want to read the book first.
Challenges I'm reading this for: my classics and big book challenge (1/12; 1/6 of the classics I have to read this year more specifically).

5. A Strangely Wrapped Gift by Emily Byrnes
Lesbian poetry. Heck yes. I was approved for this on Netgalley and I'm honestly stoaked because I /never/ read poetry!
Challenges I'm reading this for: my LGBT challenge (book 4/20); LGBT poetry.
6. Only Mostly Devastated by Sophie Gonsales
I've seen this described as gay Grease which I'm excited for! This is another ARC I have to read and review before it's out!
Challenges I'm reading this for: my LGBT challenge (book 5/20).

Happy reading friends!
