-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This series seems to be such a divider among book twitter/tumblr/youtube/you name it! And I get it. This series relies heavily on humor and as is always the case with humor, it's extremely subjective. I usually find that if I'm not enjoying the particular kind of humor in any media I'm consuming, it will easily get tedious and boring and annoying. So believe me when I say I completely and fully get why people don't enjoy this series.

For me, however, this particular kind of humor is right. up. my. alley. It leaves me guaffing to the point where I hardly can breathe.

This series is a mix of bad joke, paranormal things, a very complicated magic system and your average crime solving setting. This is a mix that shouldn't work, but for me it clearly does.

I'm the first to admit these are probably not the most high quality books in terms or plot or writing out there, but do I care? Not one bit. I'm too busy enjoying myself to properly care. These books are highly captivating, they're exciting and extremely hard to put down. The plot is at time simply ridiculous and outrageous (jazz!! vampires!!) but the ridiculousness of it all is what keeps things exciting, I think.

I liked Moon Over Soho way better than Whispers Under Ground. WUG has my favorite thing ever (ghosts!! in the underground!!) but sadly it didn't do much for me. I shall be continuing this series though!

To be read in February!

Hi guys, the shortest month of the year is here and I'm here with an overly optimistic TBR, haha. My goal this month is to read five books, one of which I'm already halfway done with (and sadly not loving right now, I might add.)

These are the books I'm going to try to read in February:

- Summer of Salt by Katarina Leno. I've heard this one has lesbians and magic and I'm!! So!! Excited!!
- Dry by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman. A dystopian YA sci-fi. Yes please.
- Whispers Under Ground (Peter Grant #3) by Ben Aaronovitch. Ghosts on the London Underground. So far not a winner for me (I'm 50% done with it) but maybe it'll pick up.
- The Moonlight Dreamers by Siobhan Curham. YA, coming of age, set in London. Give it to me!!
- Björnstad ('Bear Town') by Fredrik Backman. Hockey in a Swedish small town. Somehow suitable to read in February.

So, this is my maybe too enthusiastic TBR for the year. Cannot wait to see how many of these I'll actually manage to read at the end.
